If you need to rent a car and you want to get the best price then you should look to NationalCarRental. This company has given me a great price on a rental car many times and I tend to give them first priority when I try to rent a car anywhere. Although National Car Rental has the name national they are actually worldwide and you can generally find them anywhere in the Untied States and Canada as well as across Europe for your car rental needs. But how do I always find the best deal on a rental car? I use the 2 step approach.

The first thing that I do is to go online to one of my favorite travel search websites. There I just give them where I will be and the dates and have the website look up the rental car prices for me. Usually you will find NationalCarRental right near the top of the search results. One word of advice if you are looking for a cheap, or at least a discount rental car is to make sure you search at more than one place. They will often have slight variations in the price, so take advantage of the best deal possible.

Next I pick up the phone and call the rental car companies. I have a list of all the top rental car companies and I call them one by one. When you do this, make sure that you are telling them right up front that you are shopping for a price, and then after you get the price simply hang up and call the next rental car place. Don't worry about them telling you that the deal is not guaranteed the next time you call in, I haven't lost a deal yet.
