Grand Canion - Welcome to the Grand Canyon

If you are planning on visiting the Grand Canion you will want to take your camera because you will have plenty of chances to use it. The Grand Canion is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, it's no wonder that it is on the Seven Natural Wonders of the World list. Cut from the rock by the Colorado river, the Grand Canyon is over 270 miles long at a mile or more deep at some places. The colorful rock faces make the Grand Canion National Park a sight to behold and one that inspires deep thinking and appreciation for nature.

There are a lot of things that you can do when you are visiting the Grand Canyon, one of these is taking a trip to the canyon floor on a mule. I'm sure that you have heard that this is something that you can do, and although it looks quite treacherous the mules are very sure footed and are familiar with the terrain so it's actually easy to do. If this sounds like a bit too much of an adventure then you can just enjoy the view from the rim. There is also hiking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting and you can even take a plane right through the Grand Canyon to get a great view of the scenery.

You can also find some great lodging at the Grand Canion. They have discount and luxury hotels and resorts as well as a great lodge and some camping in the area. No matter how you want to stay the area will provide what you need. I hope that you enjoy your visit to the canyon and come back again to see all the things you missed the first time.
